Chelsea must fight two Bundesliga giants for Anthony Martial signature

Chelsea are in the hunt for more quality players this summer, and the capture of Anthony Martial would mean significant progress in their pursuit for better talent. But Sky Sports News report that the Blues will have to fend off interest from several other clubs this summer.

According to Sky, via the Independent, Chelsea have been joined in the race to sign the forward by Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund who are keen to add the French talent to their squads.

Martial is currently not enjoying the best of relationships with his head coach Jose Mourinho, whose decisions last season cost the youngster a place in the French squad that went to Russia, where they eventually won the World Cup.

He has not trained with the Red Devils for over a week, according to ESPN, after leaving camp in Miami to visit his family after his girlfriend had a baby. That does not sit well with Jose Mourinho as per the Daily Star but Martial is not prepared to leave his family to train immediately with his teammates in England.

According to the reports by Sky, Martial has told Mourinho he wants to leave the club but the club’s chiefs will not let him go so easily.
