“This is the message we need to send to other teams” – Alvaro Morata tells Premier League teams to be wary of playing at Stamford Bridge

Alvaro Morata has scored his first goal of the Premier League campaign and is already feeling buoyant ahead of the long season ahead, telling rivals to be wary of playing at Stamford Bridge.

The striker was almost a forgotten man last season after failing to impress following his signing from Real Madrid in the summer of 2017. He scored only 11 goals under Antonio Conte and was considered a huge failure by fans and pundits alike.

His start under Sarri might ring bells of good times yet to come at Stamford Bridge, but that’s not all Morata is looking for this season, the 24-year old wants to make sure opponents are scared of a trip to Chelsea’s home ground.

Following Chelsea dramatic 3-2 win over Arsenal at home last Saturday, Morata told Chelsea TV he wants he and his teammates to send out a message to all other Premier League teams that ‘it’s difficult to get something’ out of there.

“Other teams need to fight a lot to get something here. This is the message we need to send to other teams. Here is our home and it’s difficult to get something here.

We are very happy because we deserved the victory. We need to improve little things, but we played good with the ball. A very important three points for us.”
