“I am not worried about the defensive phase” – Maurizio Sarri assures Chelsea fans he will solve defensive blunders

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has assured club fans he will solve the current leakage in his defense that allows for his team to ship goals, after conceding two goals in 10 minutes in their last game.

Against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea scored two first half goals, only to concede two before the end of the half, despite commanding a large share of the possession.

The Blues were pegged back by similar goals against Unai Emery’s men who seemed to have identified how to beat Chelsea rather uncomfortable back line. Arsenal’s wide men dragged the lateral defenders all the way to the line, which pulled out their center backs, leaving spaces in front of the central defense area to exploit – and Henrikh Mkhytaryan and Alex Iwobi did so spectacularly.

Concerns were raised after the game by pundits and fans for the gabs between the Chelsea defense and midfield but Sarri is confident in the coming months, that will be a problem of the past.
