Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has been one of the most sought after players in the transfer market lately and is still attracting interest from Paris Saint Germain despite reports that Chelsea are looking to offer him a bumper new deal.
The combative midfielder has appeared in several rumor mills with reported interest from French Ligue 1 giants PSG, and Barcelona, who have since distanced themselves from a possible swoop.
That leaves PSG as the only side to hold interest in him, and Chelsea decided to act quickly in putting a mega offer on the table for the tireless midfielder – but the Parisians want to trump the Blues offer with an increased wage for the French star.
Asked whether his side will continue their pursuit after the Blues propose to make Kante the Premier League side’s highest paid player, Thomas Tuchel distanced himself from any possible move, insisting he won’t discuss players of other clubs.
“It is not fair and I do not like it if other coaches talk about situations of players who are playing for other clubs. So there is no comment on Kante, of course, not for the transfer window.”
