Roman Abramovich makes concrete to decision on new Chelsea stadium to prove he won’t walk away

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly made a strong decision on his plans for a stadium redevelopment at Stamford Bridge, only days after revelations that he will not sell the club.

Prior to Sunday, the rumors in London were that Abramovich will walk away from Chelsea after his issues with the British Home Office, but all of that has changed. On Sunday, a source at the club revealed that the Russian Oligarch had rejected an offer from Britain’s richest man, Jim Ratcliffe, to buy Chelsea for £2 billion to further cement his position as a life patron of the club.

Abramovich has spent billions at Chelsea since taking over in 2003 and taken Chelsea to levels the fans would not have dreamed of in the past and news that he may no longer be at the club sounded horrific to the millions of fans around the world.

The Daily Mail reports something exciting. They claim the Chelsea owner has once again sanctioned the plans to spend £500 million on the stadium redevelopment as they seek to expand the Bridge to a capacity of 60,000.
