Thibaut Courtois' Chelsea career is coming to its end.

Thibaut Courtois agrees personal terms with Real Madrid ahead of Thursday medical

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is on the verge of completing his transfer to Real Madrid after agreeing personal terms on a six-year deal.

The Belgium international had aggressively pushed for the deal to be completed this summer after failing to turn up at Chelsea’s training this summer following the extended break after his World Cup adventure in Russia.

The Blues were adamant they would not sell their number one shot stopper but Real’s interest grew over the weeks and the player himself, clearly not ready to play for the Blues anymore, has pushed for the deal to happen, with two days to the end of the transfer window.

Now, trusted Belgium football journalist, Kristof Terreur reports that Courtois has agreed a six-year deal with Los Blancos ahead of a proposed £35 million transfer.

Mateo Kovacic has been added to the deal by Real, to ease Chelsea’s purse and allow their number one goalkeeper to move this summer.

Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is reportedly on the verge of signing for Chelsea as Courtois’ replacement as per the Guardian.
