“Life at Chelsea has started very well” – Kepa Arrizabalaga still happy after Chelsea move this summer

Chelsea’s new goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has revealed he does not feel any pressure wearing the blue shirt, while stating his excitement at joining the club he says ‘have won everything in recent years’.

The goalkeeper was signed on the last day of the summer transfer window to replace Thibaut Courtois who departed Chelsea for Real Madrid. Following the World Cup, Courtois could have decided to stay but instead failed to report to Chelsea’s training camp, forcing the Blues to sell him and find a replacement.

Kepa arrived with a reputation as one of the most promising goalkeepers in world football and so far, after two clean sheets in his first four games, he is not failing to convince critics.

Chelsea’s new number one arrived for a world record fee f or a goalkeeper after the Blues top chiefs agreed to pay Atletic Bilbao €80 million for his services. and he is not weighed down by the price tag.

“The price has nothing to do with me, it is only because of the market. Transfer fees are going up and up and will continue to do so, and for that reason I do not worry about any fee or expectation with that, it is normal.

Life at Chelsea has started very well, it is always better when you are winning matches and also for me to have kept a few clean sheets. It is a good club for me to join because there are many Spaniards before me who have succeeded here and enjoyed success, and many are still here.

This is a club who have won everything there is to win in recent years—the Premier League, the Champions League, the Europa League and the FA Cup. I accept that any transfer is a gamble, but I believe this is an important step in my career.”
