Chelsea ready to offer star midfielder new deal to prevent PSG’s lure next summer

Chelsea are set to award N’Golo Kante a new deal to keep him at the club beyond his current contract that has three years left on it, as they bid to ward off interest from Paris Saint Germain.

The French giants are studying the situation at Stamford Bridge keenly according to reports from France, as the oil-rich owners of the club seek to beef up the midfield of the team. Kante is certainly one of the leading names in world football after his impressive performances in recent years.

Having signed for Chelsea in 2016, Kante has grown his respect in football circles and is regarded as one of the best players in the world. He helped Leicester City to their unprecedented Premier League title in 2015/16, before winning another with Chelsea the following season, along with being crowned the PFA Player of the Year.

Kante also helped France to the World Cup in Russia last summer and has drawn interest from PSG after these displays.

According to the Mirror, Chelsea want to make him joint highest paid player at the club, an offer that will match what the Blues intend to offer Eden Hazard, should the Belgium international agree to sign the dotted lines.
