Chelsea are in need of a striker, everyone knows that.
Casting your eye across the forwards of Europe, there are some that are simply out of our reach, for various reasons. Harry Kante, Sergio Aguero, Robert Lewandowski.
If you look at the most in form, you have Genoa’s Krzysztof Piatek, who we’ve already been linked with. The young Pole looks a real talent, but he’s only just made the step up to a top European leagues.
A far more established option is Paco Alcacer. The striker has plenty of games and goals under his belt already for Valencia and Barcelona. His lack of game time at the latter has meant a loan move to Dortmund, where he’s banging them in. They’ve now activated their option to sign him permanently.
#BVB have triggered Paco Alcacer's buy-on option of €23m. His salary is expected to grow from €4m to €8m and the player's contract will run until 2023 (Bild).

He was never even looked at by Chelsea, and it looks like once again Dortmund have shown up the scouts of some bigger teams.
Another good looking number 9 has made a move, and once again it’s not to Chelsea.
