Eden Hazard keeps Chelsea waiting as he seeks assurances from Real Madrid before making decision on future

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard is reportedly waiting on Real Madrid to make an offer before he makes a decision on his future at the club.

The Blues magician is currently stalling at signing a new deal that will keep him at Stamford Bridge beyond 2020 when his ongoing contract expires. The Belgium captain is not in a hurry to commit to Chelsea despite the offer of £300,000-a-week waiting to be awarded. He wants to know if his dream move to the Santiago Bernabeu can be fulfilled before he makes a decision on becoming Chelsea’s highest paid player ever in the club’s history.

The Telegraph says the forward, currently top of the Premier League’s top scorer rankings, is playing a game of ‘hide and seek’ with Chelsea as he hopes the situation last summer does not repeat itself in the coming months. Hazard yearned for a call from Real Madrid but could not get it, despite Real’s loss of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus and his own devastating form for club and country.

The 27-year old still loves Chelsea and would not push through a move, but wants to see if there will be anything concrete from Real before making his own move.
