Former Chelsea goalkeeper reveals why Eden Hazard might shockingly leave in January for Real Madrid

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard is probably packing his bags in anticipation of a move next year, but when exactly is what we’re all waiting to see.

Hazard has refuted claims that he could leave the Blues in January, but not everyone believes his public assertion of the situation. His former teammate Mark Schwarzer has revealed the talismanic forward could leave Stamford Bridge in January is the factors fall in place.

According to Schwarzer, if Real make a very good offer, Hazard fails to sign a new contract by the New Year, and Chelsea drop out of the Premier League title chase then the Blues will have no choice than to accept the deal from Los Blancos and prevent a cut-price deal in the summer.

“I’m not so sure that he won’t leave in January. He’s got just under two years left on his contract, Real Madrid are having a shocker at the moment, if they come in in January and offer a lot of money for him and the club realise at that stage that he does want to go and won’t re-sign, what are the club going to do?

Depending on the situation at Chelsea, where they are in the league, that could play a lot in it as well. He’s been very honest. He’s never ever complained. He’s had such love and passion for the club and I admire him being honest. Some people will be upset by it but ultimately he’s talking about Real Madrid, he’s not talking about wanting to go to a competitor or direct rival in the Premier League.”

Hazard has until summer 2020 to leave the Bridge but with Real Madrid struggling to find top form this season following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus last summer, the La Liga giants may be tempted to make a mouthwatering bid for Hazard.

The 27-year old has been in impressive form this season scoring eight times in all competitions and grabbing four assists.
