Chelsea’s long-term target Alex Sandro has spoken of his intent to play in the Premier League at some point in his career amid talk that the Blues are monitoring his situation at Juventus.
Since Antonio Conte took charge of the Blues in the summer of 2016, Chelsea have been linked with the Brazil international. But after his move from FC Porto to Juventus in 2015, Sandro has looked a fine player and one of the best in his role at left-full back. His strong showings in the Champions League alerted a host of other top clubs to him.
But after remaining at the Turin club for three seasons, Goal says Sandro told reporters while on international duty with Brazil that he retains an admiration for the Premier League and would hope to one day play in the English top flight.
“I think one day who knows what will happen? I have a desire to play in the Premier League, but right now I’m very happy where I am, at the club I am at, the league I’m playing in.
So today, my only thought is to continue where I am because that’s where I feel happy.”
