Chelsea and Arsenal are reportedly set to face off each other in the transfer battlefield for Manchester United’s forgotten midfielder Andreas Pereira.
Jose Mourinho has almost always neglected the midfielder for other midfield options this season especially after the poor performance against Brighton and Hove Albion in August, as noted by the Manchester Evening News. The Portuguese manager is reportedly ready to offload the player to make way for new arrivals next summer.
Now the Sunday People say Chelsea, Arsenal, AS Monaco and Inter Milan are eyeing the Belgian-born Brazilian midfielder. Pereira spent last season on loan at Valencia in La Liga, but with the Red Devils eager to ship him out after this campaign, the 22-year old now wants to stay in England.
The report by Sunday People reveals the Blues and Arsenal are front-runners for his signature and will push the button when he officially becomes available next summer.
