Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has responded proudly to his latest achievement in the English game after a positive start to life in England.
The Italian tactician signed from Napoli last summer but has quickly warmed up to the Premier League and has already gone 11 games without a defeat. The run cannot be denigrated after he guided the Blues past Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool without suffering defeat.
The 3-1 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday means Chelsea are now unbeaten in their first 11 games of the season under a new manager, the first time it has happened in the top flight since Frank Clark in 1994.
Sarri says he is ‘very proud’ about the feat and praised his players for adapting quickly to his tactics and philosophy.
Sarri on 11 game unbeaten record being matched: "I am very proud. I am very proud to be the coach of this team. It is not a record of the coach but of the team. I was lucky because I have very good players. My players were able to win without great organisation." #CFC #CHECRY
