Chelsea beat Brighton 2-1 in a sweaty game at the Amex that wasn’t made any easier by another pretty shocking performance from Marcos Alonso.
The left back really struggled to get into the game, and when he did he didn’t impress. He could and probably should have had a red instead of a yellow when he brought down Florin Andone, and could even have had a second yellow minutes later.
Here’s what some of the fans on Twitter thought of his showing:
Another suspect performance from Marcos Alonso, who could easily have seen red… not really sure what Emerson must do to get a starting spot in this side.

Yes we won but don’t let that distract you from the fact that Willian and Marcos Alonso became worse in that match than they had been all season. Worst displays I’ve ever seen.
