Thierry Henry ready to raid Chelsea in January in his fight to save his young managerial career

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill is on the radar of AS Monaco ahead of the January transfer window as Thierry Henry attempts to save his managerial career.

The French coach is struggling to lead Monaco to victory since taking charge of the club in October. The former Arsenal striker has been in charge of Les Monégasques in their last 12 games but has won only twice as they languish in 19th place in the French Ligue 1.

One department that has created problems for Henry in his first stint as a manager is the defense of the team.

According to NiceMartin in France, Chelsea’s Gary Cahill and Laurent Koscielny of Arsenal are the main targets next month. Koscielny has missed a chunk of the season so far due to injury while Cahill is fancied to leave Stamford Bridge in January after falling down the pecking order under Maurizio Sarri.

Henry has told Monaco’s board that he needs calm heads at the back and has put the two Premier League defenders at the top of his wishlist.
