Eden Hazard has set his mind on moving to Real Madrid for some time now but has also revealed ‘there are things that might make’he stay at Chelsea beyond next summer.
Following the World Cup in Russia last summer, Chelsea’s talisman Hazard was strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid and admitted a number of times publicly, he wants to play for the La Liga giants. The Belgium international’s dreams of playing for the Santiago Bernabeu outfit has not changed, but he now says a few things might sway him to remain a Chelsea player.
He has been in fine form this season, however, storming to seven goals in nine games in the Premier League before scoring an electric goal against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup second round at Anfield that earned him wild reviews around the world.
If Chelsea play top class football and allow him the room in his preferred position to play the best football he can, then the former Lille teenage sensation may be persuaded to stay at Stamford Bridge after this season.
“Why not? You know it very well. You’re asking the question, but you know what the answer will be so you don’t have to ask it. I’ve won everything in England, apart from the Community Shield, but that doesn’t mean I’m leaving.
I’ve always said that I wanted to explore something different after England but there are also things that might make me stay. After the World Cup, I wanted to leave, but in the end I stayed at Chelsea and I’m playing one of the best seasons so far.”
