Chelsea braced for deadline day mega bid after PSG reportedly begin talks to sign forward

Chelsea are reportedly braced for a massive bid from Paris Saint Germain on Thursday with reports in France suggesting Willian is now a top target for the French giants.

The Blues are currently battling Bayern Munich over the sale of Callum Hudson-Odoi and would not relish another tussle with PSG over Willian. The Brazil star has attracted interest from Barcelona in recent seasons with the Camp Nou side making several bids for him last summer, all rejected by the Premier League giants.

Now according to Sky Sports, with Neymar set for a spell on the sidelines with an injury he picked up in PSG’s weekend clash with Strasbourg, Willian has emerged the ideal candidate for a replacement.

Now, per Get French Football on Twitter, the 30-year old’s representatives have arrived in Paris, awaiting an agreement between Chelsea and PSG:

It must, however, be noted that Chelsea are impossible to do business with especially on transfer deadline day. Having to let one of their leading stars leave the club at such a time without a replacement lined up makes it almost impossible to think the deal can go through.
