Maurizio Sarri attempts desperate measure to restore peace with players following public attack

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has made a decision to have a sit-down talk with his players as he hopes to make peace following his public attack on their form last weekend.

The Blues lost emphatically to Arsenal at the Emirates, showing very little signs of getting any positive from the clash. Sarri was left fuming after the game in the post-match press conference saying, via the Mirror, he wanted “to send a message to my players and I want my message to be very clear.”

The former Napoli tactician called his players ‘naive’, attacking their personalities and attitude in the game. He wanted to show he was the man in charge, but history is not on his side. In the past, Chelsea managers have lost their jobs after calling out their players publicly and Sarri may have learned his lesson.

According to the Times, the 55-year old now wants to make peace with his players ahead of the Tottenham clash in the Carabao Cup on Thursday.
