The one thing stopping Morata from joining Atletico after personal terms agreed

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is set to complete a loan move to Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window after the Spanish top journalist Guillem Balague revealed personal terms have been agreed.

The player has struggled with life in the Premier League and is pushing for a move out of Chelsea. He is reportedly keen to return to La Liga where he signed from in the summer of 2016. Morata is hoping to call time on his bad experience in the Premier League and join Diego Simeone’s side.

According to Balague, personal terms have been agreed with Morata by Atletico and all that remains is that Chelsea must sign a replacement before his deal is allowed to happen, via the BBC.

The Blues are, however, edging close to completing a loan move for Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain with the Daily Star saying the deal could be completed on Friday, January 18.
