The winter transfer window ends at midnight today and still, there are some deals to be ironed out by Chelsea.
One of those is Gary Cahill’s exit from the club he has served since 2012. The central defender is out of contract after this season and is looking for a way out of the club even on a temporary basis. If he is unable to find a permanent club this month, then a loan option is also being considered.
However, Cahill’s options for a loan deal are dying out. The Blues have resolved to allow the player to leave only if the interested club will agree to pay his full weekly wages of £130,000 as per the London Evening Standard.
According to the Standard report, Cahill has received offers from outside London, but he and his family are settled in the London capital and will wait until the summer before making a move permanently.
