“I think he has to go” – Maurizio Sarri tells Eden Hazard to leave for Real Madrid if he wants to

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has told his side’s best player Eden Hazard to leave for Real Madrid if he wants to next summer.

The Belgium international sparked strong rumors before the season started after suggesting his future was away from Stamford Bridge. He made clear his dreams of playing for Los Blancos even though his mentor Zinedine Zidane departed last summer after winning three Champions League titles in succession.

Hazard has been stellar for Chelsea this season, however. His impact in the ongoing campaign has helped Sarri’s debut season get off to a flyer but the pair may have fallen out in recent weeks. The Italian coach called Hazard out saying, “He is an individual player” and not a leader in the dressing room.

Hazard responded with an ‘I don’t care’ and now the former Napoli tactician says the Belgium captain is not indispensable although he believes the player can achieve the status of best European footballer in the coming seasons.

“The situation of Eden is different.

Eden is 28. If he wants to go, I think he has to go. Of course, I hope the opposite, I hope he wants to stay here. He has the potential to be the best player in Europe at the moment.”
