David Luiz has been one of Chelsea’s players this season worthy of a mention for his top performances, but despite his vastly improved form, the Brazilian is being made to sweat for a new contract at the club, according to Goal.
He is by a distance one of the best center backs in England this season and is commanding movements and buildups from the back of Chelsea’s on-field structure. Luiz has come out of his dark days under Antonio Conte where he was relegated to the bench for the more consistent Andreas Christensen.

Their roles have been swapped in the squad this term by Sarri but the club have not translated that on paper.
The former Paris Saint Germain defender is looking out for a contract extension from his club but nothing yet has been put on the table. He will join the list of players to drop their blue shirts next summer and walk as free agents if nothing is done about it.
In no rush, Luiz is said to be willing to wait for the club to make a decision on his future. Let’s hope they work something out!
