Chelsea absolutely battered Dinamo Kiev tonight, and that was thanks in large part to the efforts of Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The midfielder covered huge amounts of ground, was defensively solid and also put in a lot of effort in the forward areas creating attacks.
Overall he had a great game, against admittedly limited opposition. Even Maurizio Sarri, who has been loathe to start him, let alone praise him, was forced to come out with some pretty glowing comments about the academy products:

Sarri to BT on Loftus-Cheek: "The potential of Loftus-Cheek is very high. Physically, technically, he is improving tactically. He can become one of the best midfielders not only in England, but in Europe." #cfc

Those are big words from Sarri, who is hardly Jurgen Klopp when it comes to talking up his own players. He clearly sees the talent that RLC has – so why is he so reluctant to use him?
That’s one of a few questions that comes out of a game like tonight’s. Why, also did he bring on Jorginho, perhaps the player that needs a rest most, with half an hour to go?
He truly is a mystery, Mr Sarri.
