Chelsea star appears high on Juventus transfer list with Pjanic set to leave

N’Golo Kante has proven beyond doubt that he is adept at playing anywhere on the field after his successful change in roles under Maurizio Sarri this campaign.

The French midfielder remains one of the most important players at the West London club despite being moved out of his more natural position, just in front of the defence. When he made his name at Leicester City under Claudio Ranieri in their Premier League title triumph, Kante was deployed as an anchorman. He intercepted dangerous balls and began the Foxes attacks almost as efficiently.

His game in the first two years at Chelsea did not change much, until Sarri’s arrival last summer. With Antonio Conte in charge, Kante kept playing as the ultimate defensive midfielder, but Jorginho has that mantle now. Kante plays further in front in midfield and takes complete control of the affairs in those areas, creating chances, intercepting high up the field and making runs at opposition defenses.

That has caught the interest of Juventus who have prepared to make him a priority target next summer should Miralem Pjanic be sold according to CalcioMercato.
