The blows keep on coming for Chelsea, whose chances of keeping Eden Hazard have been reduced… by PSG forward Kylian Mbappe.
In case you missed it, the Telegraph reported that Real Madrid are beginning to accelerate with their efforts to poach Eden Hazard from Chelsea following the reappointment Zinedine Zidane.
From an outside perspective, Hazard would be the creative spark that could revive Real Madrid’s stuttering forward line. Working under Zidane could prove to be a match made in heaven.
Despite that, we’re still desperately hoping that he decides to stay, even if the odds are stacked firmly against us. The issue is, there’s a distinct lack of alternatives for Real. They may be forced to put all their eggs in Hazard’s basket.

That’s especially after Kylian Mbappe revealed that he will be staying at PSG for at least another year. The Daily Mail report that the Frenchman is wanted by Los Blancos – but he claims he’s going nowhere.
Mbappe is quoted by Telefoot saying:
”I’ll be here next year for sure, that’s already agreed. It doesn’t help to worry about my personal situation so that’s it. Clear and precise.”
There’s very few other players in Hazard’s position who measure up to the Belgium captain. Mbappe is one, Neymar is another, but one has no intention of leaving and the other appears implausible.
