Eden Hazard saved his team’s blushes as Champions League chasing Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw by Wolves at Stamford Bridge.
Wolves set up with ten-men behind the ball whenever Chelsea were in possession. There was no attempt from the visitors to play football during the first-half, rather prevent space in between the lines for Maurizio Sarri’s men and prohibit us from playing our football.
It worked effectively, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s men being rewarded for their graft in the shape of a Raul Jimenez opener on the 56-minute mark. It looked as though they were heading for a famous victory at the Bridge, but Hazard had other ideas.
The Belgian scored a belter to bail Chelsea out, two minutes into stoppage time. There’s only so long that we can rely on Hazard’s brilliance, but while he’s still here, we’re going to make the most out of it.
Chelsea need to be better if they want to be playing Champions League football next term, no doubt, but Wolves were worthy contenders today and deserve sufficient credit for their efforts to deny us.
Here’s a tweet on every Chelsea player – many of which aren’t particularly positive…

Azpilicueta might be the best 1v1 fullback in the world, but he's pretty much useless going forward. We need to experiment with Zappacosta

It's actually remarkable Jorginho is yet to provide an assist in the Premier League this season considering the quality of some of the balls he plays over the top. 🔵

There's not one thing Kovacic is good at. I still don't understand why RLC isn't starting yet.

Pedro punches the seat as he goes off for Hudson-Odoi, seems angrier with the situation on the pitch than coming off for the youngster. #CFC #CHEWOL
