These Chelsea fans are not happy with Maurizio Sarri’s starting XI vs. Everton

It’s safe to say that some Chelsea fans on Twitter are not best pleased with the starting eleven that Maurizio Sarri has named for today’s clash with Everton.

Historically, Goodison Park has proven to be a banana skin for Chelsea, and we head there in desperate need of three points to keep our Champions League dreams alive.

Sarri will be aware of the threat that Everton pose and has subsequently fielded Marcos Alonso at left-back, omitting the more assured option, Emerson Palmieri, from the matchday squad.

Ross Barkley, though he will have the added incentive of facing his former employers, has also done nothing to justify a start ahead of Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

We’re not even going to get onto Callum Hudson-Odoi. It’s at the stage where we are happy that he is at least on the bench and could be involved at some point.

Our discontent is probably evident through our words, but we’re not alone. Here’s how some Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to share their displeasure at today’s lineup.
