Wolves stat sheet after 35 minutes of football at Stamford Bridge shows exactly what they came here to do today – and it wasn’t to bag all three points.
Having defeated us earlier in the season, Wolves have been presented with an opportunity to do the double over Chelsea, something that would have seemed inconceivable a couple of years ago. Nuno Espirito Santo, however, would be happy with a point.
You could argue that’s a wise mentality to have heading into a game at the home of one of the best teams in the league, but Wolves are in seventh place, just one below Chelsea, and you’d expect them to come here and play.
Instead, they’ve produced nothing – like, literally nothing.

These games can often prove to be tales of two halves, which we’re hoping will be the case today. If Wolves sense an opportunity at pulling off an upset, they’ll commit more bodies forward and leave Chelsea more space to operate in on the counter-attack.
Alternatively, they’ll continue to suffocate our attacks and frustrate our forward players. Either way, we could be relying on a moment of brilliance to break them down today. Eden, where you at?
