Eden Hazard looks a goner at Chelsea, and his contract situation at the club looks irredeemable, and former Chelsea player Mario Melchiot warns the winger will not change his mind with all the pessimism around Chelsea’s future.
The winger’s future at the club seems away from Stamford Bridge after the player refused to sign a deal to extend his stay beyond the summer of 2020 according to the Express. The Belgian superstar seems destined to join Real Madrid after this campaign and rightly so as per Melchiot.

The former Blues defender believes Chelsea don’t look like a club capable of matching the ambitions of Hazard.
Under Sarri, Chelsea are already out of the FA Cup, lost in the final of the Carabao Cup to Manchester City, are surely out of the Premier League title race – battling to even make the top four – with only the Europa League, a possible trophy to land this season.
Melchiot says it will take a lot to convince Hazard to stay at the Bridge:
“Some of the questions that Eden Hazard will ask himself are: ‘Can I win trophies here? Can I become a better player than I am already? And in this team can I move forward as quick as I want to move forward?’
And if all those answers are no, what do you think he’s going do? I don’t see him staying at Chelsea. They have to sit down with him as quick as they can because if not the kid has all the power in his hands, he’s going to run the contract out and it doesn’t matter what they do.”
