Chelsea are already struggling to achieve the season objectives set by the top officials and their head coach Maurizio Sarri now has fresh concerns ahead of the season’s climax.
The Blues could only afford a draw against Burnley on Monday night and despite the point picked up, they now have two key players forced out of action with injury concerns. First was teen star Callum Hudson-Odoi who picked up what seemed to be an Achilles tendon injury, in the first half. He was replaced by Pedro. Chelsea entered the dugout and returned without N’Golo Kante as well.
According to Dan Levene on Twitter, a journalist close to the club, the France international picked up a back problem which explained his absence in the second half.

The word is that Kante is suffering from a back problem – hence the half time switch with Kovacic.

Kante had scored Chelsea first goal, that equalized Burnley’s opener through Jeff Hendricks.
Sarri will hope the injuries are not too serious as both players are key to his chances in the chase for top four and a possible silverware win in the Europa League.
