Chelsea in talks to sign two Bundesliga star strikers in one summer after transfer ban

Chelsea are reportedly chasing Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski and Borussia Dortmund’s Alexander Isak, and are willing to pay top dollar for the players in the summer of 2020.

FIFA have imposed a ban on the Blues from registering players in the next two transfer windows, and that restricts them from signing any new targets. One major concern in the current squad at Maurizio Sarri’s disposal is the striker position.

Alvaro Morata was tested for 18 months until he and the club agreed to move him on to Atletico Madrid temporarily, before Gonzalo Higuain arrived amid fanfare to no better results. He has scored only three goals in all competitions since arriving in May and the Blues need to replace him or find more capable goalscorers.

The Mirror says the Blues are considering signing Lewandowski who scored two goals against Dortmund last Saturday to go top of the Bundesliga and also Isak, who is currently on loan at Dutch club Willem II.
