Chelsea are gradually losing all hope ahead of their summer transfer business as one of their top targets reveals he is happy at his current club and may not be interested in listening to offers for him.
A Premier League return had been reported for former Liverpool attacker Phillipe Coutinho but the Brazilian has refuted the talk that he could be on his way back to England, insisting he is ‘happy’.
“This is my second season here. I have won titles but I am always an ambitious and demanding player. So, I want more and more. But I’m happy. I wanted to play in Spain and I’m at the best club in Spain.
My head is exclusively in Barcelona. Returning to England now does not fit into my plans.â€

The attacking midfielder is one of the players Chelsea had targeted to replace Eden Hazard who is set for a deal at the Santiago Bernabeu with Real Madrid. Los Blancos are keen to beef up their squad next summer and have shortlisted Hazard as of the marquee signings. Should that deal work out for the La Liga giants, Chelsea planned to tempt Coutinho to leave the Camp Nou.
Chelsea may have to focus on other players filling the gap Hazard will leave when he departs after this season.
