Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has claimed that his Manchester United players are not fit enough ahead of today’s top four six-pointer against Chelsea.
As we wrote in our Man United injury report, the home side could be without as many as five players for today’s game. That in itself is a considerable boost to our chances of winning today.
The players who are available and in action this afternoon are also not in sufficient shape, however. At least that’s what has been claimed by their manager ahead of the game.
Solskjaer is quoted by the Times saying:
“When you are in the middle of a season you don’t do too many drastic changes, you can’t really turn this group and work really much harder. Of course the fitness levels are not good enough for me.”

This is great news for us. United played on Wednesday, while our players have had since Monday to rest. If fatigue is already creeping in, it could be decisive in today’s game.
Eden Hazard will be fresh as a daisy, having had a rare six-day rest, and the prospect of him going up against a tired Ashley Young is utterly mouthwatering.
