Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has insisted that his lack of communication with club owner Roman Abramovich is not an issue.
Abramovich has not been seen in the UK since having his visa revoked last year, which is naturally a concern to us Chelsea fans.
Relations between England and Russia are strained, with plans for the redevelopment of Stamford Bridge being put on hold indefinitely.
Though Abramovich’s lack of presence is a concern to us, Sarri appears to have little problem with his lack of direct communication with Roman.

Sarri is quoted by ESPN saying:
“He is the owner, and so he is able to influence the technical staff, the club, the players, everything I think.”
“Also in Naples, the president Aurelio [De Laurentiis] wasn’t in the training ground every day. He was in the training ground once a month, no more. So it’s really very similar.”
It is a shame that Abramovich has not made it to Stamford Bridge this season. He’s worshipped by the entire fanbase.
Whatever ongoing issues are preventing him from entering the country and making the trip to the stadium ought to be resolved eventually.
Whether Sarri will still be in charge of this club when it happens remains to be seen. We’ll have to wait and see how the season ends.
