Former Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata has come back to bite us by scoring the opening goal of today’s contest at Old Trafford.
Mata has found opportunities hard to come by at United this season, but was named in the starting eleven by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for this game.
The Spaniard, on his birthday, fired into the back of Kepa Arrizabalaga’s net, before wheeling away in celebration of putting his side ahead.

It’s a bitter pill to swallow for Chelsea fans, who saw Mata named our player of the year twice before he was sold by Jose Mourinho.
Chelsea need to find a response from somewhere, seeing as Mata’s goal has moved United level on points with us in the Premier League table.
Considering we have a Europa League semi-final to compete with, while United will have periods of rest, that’s a seriously precarious situation to be in.
