There’ll be a fair few in the Chelsea fanbase who believe that Jorginho has been an achilles heel at times this season. Rest assured in knowing that your opinion is also one held by the experts.
Though Jorginho is one of the best passers of the ball in the Premier League, you can’t deny that he’s not as defensively sturdy as Chelsea midfielder counterpart N’Golo Kante.
There have been several occasions this season where teams have attempted to take advantage of Jorginho’s defensive frailties, and succeeded to do so.
One of those teams was Manchester City.
Now, Carles Planchart, a video analyst for the Premier League champions, has been filmed explaining how City took advantage of Jorginho’s advanced positioning in midfield.

As shown in the footage, City replicated the situation they were likely to find themselves in while going toe-to-toe with Jorginho, in training. It’s rather interesting.

While it’s never nice to hear that an opposing team has identified your weakness, you don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to realise that Jorginho is on the fragile side.
Thankfully for the Italian, his manager has a great deal of faith in him and thus his starting spot is never going to be under any considerable threat.
