Everyone’s favourite non-Chelsea player Raheem Sterling royally mugged off Liverpool while being honoured at the BT Sport Industry Awards on Thursday night.
Sterling picked up an award for the vast amount of campaigning he has done over the past 12 months or so in his attempts to tackle racism in football. He absolutely deserves it.

Sterling, being an absolute chap, couldn’t resist using his acceptance speech as an opportunity to fire shots at his former employers Liverpool.
The Englishman recognises the widespread desire for Man City to deny Liverpool their first ever Premier League title. He’s played a huge role in City doing so – at least to this point.
Having been passed the microphone, Sterling cracked this one out, which had the whole audience in stitches. Sorry, Liverpool fans!

We can never pass up an opportunity to laugh at a direct rival, especially when it’s Liverpool. Them lifting the Premier League would be the end of the world as we know it.

It’s good to see, even if Raheem was just cracking a joke, that City recognise that they need to do everything in their power to stop Liverpool – for everyone, not just themselves.
Let’s hope they can pull it off, otherwise this Sterling clip might come back to bite him, and this article bite us!
