Chelsea website’s blunder teases fans following injuries to beloved first-team duo

Chelsea are playing a pre-season fixture against Kawasaki Frontale in Japan in July, and the club have used it as an opportunity to accidentally tease the fans!

It’s important to note that this was likely an honest mistake by the Chelsea media team, but one that really is a schoolboy error by one of the biggest clubs in the world.

The whole purpose of holding these pre-season friendlies is to raise both money and the brand of Chelsea football club across the world.

In order to achieve both of those, a fair amount of advertising and promotion has to be done ahead of the event to ensure maximum exposure.

Now, Chelsea have got to work already in advertising this friendly, but the two players they’ve picked to help them do it, well, see for yourself…

Barring a medical miracle like none we have seen before, neither Callum Hudson-Odoi or Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be involved for the game.

Both players are recovering from ruptured achilles’, with Ruben only suffering his injury midweek. How forgetful are Chelsea?!?!?
