Eden Hazard makes vow to Chelsea fans amid strong links to Real Madrid

Eden Hazard has insisted that he will do everything in his power to ensure that Chelsea are Europa League victors – especially if it’s his final game for the club.

‘Hazard’ is likely the most frequently searched word among the Real Madrid faithful at this point in time. It’s hard to remember a time in which he wasn’t linked with a move to the Bernabeu.

His future will soon be resolved, with the season set to end and the window set to begin, but til that time both our and the player’s full focus must remain on the task at hand.

Chelsea still have one Premier League fixture to play and have now added a Europa League final in Baku to the calendar – which Hazard appears to be desperate to win.

Eden is quoted by Spanish outlet Marca revealing his desperation to cap what could be his final season as a Chelsea player with a piece of silverware:

“I am only thinking about winning something for this club, this squad. If it’s my last game, I will try to do everything [to lift the Europa League trophy]; if it’s not, we will see.”

“In my mind, I don’t know yet. I’m just thinking about trying to win games – that’s it.”

We still remain hopeful that he’ll stick around. We’ll be playing Champions League football next season now, so what reason does he have to depart his beloved Blues?

As Marca’s report notes, he has been strongly linked with Real Madrid, but they’re a sinking ship and we’re heading in the right direction under Maurizio Sarri.

It could be in his best interests to stick around.
