Spanish publication AS have published a rather positive report on the situation surrounding Eden Hazard at Stamford Bridge. Positive if you’re a Chelsea fan, that is.
As AS report, Hazard linking up with childhood hero Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid this summer has become a very real possibility. Both parties are keen on making the move happen.
However, with FIFA choosing to reject Chelsea’s recent appeal, Real Madrid have been left with a potential dilemma in their plans to purchase the Belgian wizard.
Though Chelsea find themselves in a position where Hazard, one of the best in the world, could leave for free next summer, the transfer ban means we cannot replace him.
Considering how hefty his influence is at Chelsea, you couldn’t blame us for standing firm and rejecting all proposals. It’s an immeasurable void which couldn’t be filled.
AS believe this to be a real problem, and one which could see Hazard see out the remainder of his contract through loyalty to the club and the fans. We certainly hope they’re right.
