“Would it be the perfect farewell? Yes” – Chelsea superstar hints EL final could be his goodbye

Chelsea are likely to lose star performer Eden Hazard after the forward gave what looked a strong signal that he might not be with the club after the Europa League final.

Speaking ahead of the major European cup final, Hazard was quite clear on why he wants to win the Europa League. He spoke about giving Chelsea fans a ‘perfect farewell’ with a silverware win in Baku.

It is not a hidden fact that the player dreams of playing at the Santiago Bernabeu and next summer he has the opportunity to firm it up. Real are reportedly interested in signing the Belgium attacker and hope for a breakthrough in talks with Chelsea who are still holding up the stance of taking not less than £130 million in the next few weeks, according to Metro.

Speaking about what it will mean to win the Europa League this season, Hazard simply said he just wants to win the trophy but when pushed if it will be the ‘perfect farewell’, the 28-year old answered, “Yes”.

“It is a European competition, so for me, for the club, for the manager, for the fans, it is something important. When you play a final, it does not matter whether it is the Champions League, Europa League or League Cup, you just want to win, you just want to bring the trophy home and celebrate that.  When you play for Chelsea at the start of the season, people think about which trophy we can have at the end of May, so this one is the important one.

We lost the EFL Cup final, so at end of the season this is the trophy we can go for. I just want to win the trophy, that is it. It does not matter if I score or I do not score. If it is my last game, I hope to bring the trophy.

Would it be the perfect farewell? Yes.”
