Maurizio Sarri’s post-match comments yesterday night suggested that the Italian will not be wanting to leave the club this summer.
The Daily Mail reported just yesterday that the Juventus players have been informed that Sarri will be arriving as their new manager ahead of next season.
Considering Sarri finished third in the Premier League and won the Europa League, you have to think if he were to leave it’d only be of his own accord.
Chelsea are unlikely to be able to justify sacking someone who achieved so much in their debut season here, so the ball’s very much in Sarri’s court.
If that is the case, as we have interpreted it, then Chelsea fans ought to have hope that Sarri snubs a move to Juve and stays put here.
Speaking following our Europa League win last night, Sarri is quoted by Football Italia revealing that he feels this is becoming HIS Chelsea side:
“I had some problems, but from February onwards I saw something change in the rapport with the team. Maybe I changed too, but I am starting to feel like this team is mine.”
