Callum Hudson-Odoi is now prepared to put an end to talk over his future and sign a contract extension with Chelsea, according to the Mirror.
With doubts emerging over the futures of both our best player and our manager, we could do without losing our most promising young talent.
As the Mirror note in their report, Hudson-Odoi was heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich back in the January transfer window.
The promise of first-team football appealed to CHO, and with him having 18 months left to run at the time, the power was in his hands.
Fast forward six months and the situation is looking even more precarious. He’s six months away from being able to sign a pre-contract agreement.
Now is the time for Chelsea to decipher whether a new contract is plausible or it’s time to cash-in to avoid the risk of losing him on a free.
Thankfully from a Chelsea perspective, Hudson-Odoi now appears willing to stay.
The Mirror believe that he’s ready to put pen-to-paper on a new deal which would see him earn as much as £100K-a-week. He’s only 18!
He’s absolutely worth it, though, and Marina Granovskaia would be right to bow to his representatives’ demands if it means he commits his future.
