Despite Chelsea officially lodging an appeal to the CAS over the two-window transfer ban, the club haven’t asked for the ban to be temporarily frozen.
News broke on Friday morning that the CAS had received an appeal from the Blues, with the hope of having the ban either reduced or overturned in its entirety.
Chelsea haven't yet asked CAS to freeze the ban. Many around Chelsea are preparing for a ban to be enforced this summer. It could be a golden ticket for some youth or loan stars. #CFC

As shown in Nizaar Kinsella‘s follow up tweet, however, there has been no request from Chelsea for the CAS to rule that our ban will be suspended pending appeal.
Both Real and Atletico Madrid were granted such suspensions by FIFA, but football’s governing body opted against treating Chelsea with comparable leniency.
Chelsea will likely be disgruntled by the treatment they have received, but there’s no evidence of it in their appeal. There’s been no request for the ban to be frozen.
Whether the club are genuinely confident that the ban can be overturned remains to be seen, but not specifically asking for a suspension of the ban is puzzling.
CAS do have the ability to freeze the ban themselves, which they may well do. We will have to continue to wait and see if we are able to make transfers this summer.
