This Chelsea player’s agent talks up imminent move to Italy

It’s very natural that Chelsea will brace themselves for at least one offer from Juventus after losing their manager to the Italian giants this summer and his most loved player in the Blues ranks is the subject of recent transfer talk.

Jorginho moved from Napoli to Chelsea less than a month after Maurizio Sarri joined the Blues last summer. He was one of the Napoli stars that made the ‘Sarriball’ philosophy work during the Italian tactician’s time in Naples.

For Sarri to implement his style in the Premier League, he brought along his pass master and now that he’s joined the record Serie A winners as their new head coach, there’s talk that the midfielder could return to Italy to join his boss. Jorginho signed a five-year deal for Chelsea for a fee of £57 million last summer according to Sky Sports, but his time could be cut short in the Premier League after only one season.

Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos admits a transfer could happen this summer although the player is comfortable at Chelsea.

“Chelsea have a four-year contract with the lad. We’ll wait a few days to figure out whether there is any truth in this interest mentioned in the papers.

He found a great atmosphere and we can’t really say that he’d like to go elsewhere, but anything can happen in the transfer market. We’ll wait and see.”

The Europa League winners are currently banned from signing players and Jorginho’s departure will create major problems in midfield for the next manager at the club.
