Chelsea are poised to officially announce the return of club legend Petr Cech in a technical role, according to the Telegraph.
Cech returning to Stamford Bridge has been a pretty poorly kept secret, with the Czech’s involvement in the Europa League final against us considered a conflict of interest by some.
The man is a model professional, thus the concerns were unnecessary, with him arguably being the Gunners’ best player during an embarrassing 4-1 defeat in Baku.
Cech is set to put his Arsenal misery behind him now, though, with the Telegraph reporting that his return to Chelsea becoming official merely being a matter of time.
It is unclear how much influence Cech will have behind the scenes, but we imagine he will inherit some of the responsibilities which were formerly Michael Emenalo’s.
All we can do now is remain patient for the official announcement to arrive. We don’t imagine that we will be waiting any longer than the end of the weekend.
