La Liga duo could be on the move this summer, rating Chelsea’s transfer chances

Two players from La Liga could be on the transfer market this summer – and we’ve rated their chances of moving to Stamford Bridge.

Nelson Semedo

Cadena Ser believe that Nelson Semedo’s camp are attempting to maneuver their client away from Barcelona this summer.

The club, though, are standing firm. The report notes that he’s not for sale, with his €100M release clause mentioned.

Chelsea will be in need of a new starting right-back at some point, with Cesar Azpilicueta slowly heading over the hill.

However, we have both Reece James and Ola Aina on our books. Why would we fork out €100M for Semedo?

Well, he’s brilliant. His ability to beat a man down the right-hand-side and produce a quality final ball would justify heavy expenditure.

€100M is a little steep when you have exciting youngsters of your own coming up, however. We’re going to give this one a 3/10.

Isco

Marca believe that Real Madrid have listed Isco on the market. If the right offer comes in, they will not be standing in his way.

Isco is a much more viable and logical option for Chelsea than Semedo, especially with Eden Hazard expected to leave.

The Spaniard would go some way to replacing the creativity we would lose through Hazard’s sale – and he’d also sell shirts!

It’s not mentioned in Marca’s report exactly how much Real Madrid will demand in exchange for Isco this summer.

However, if Hazard is sold, Chelsea will have cash to play with, so why not take the ascendancy in the race to sign Isco?

Isco to Chelsea gets a 7/10.
