Chelsea loanee’s future with the Blues now in the hands of one man

The final decision over the future of Chelsea centre-back Kurt Zouma will be left to incoming manager Frank Lampard, according to the BBC.

Zouma impressed while out on-loan at Everton, thus suggesting that a prosperous career as a Chelsea player may yet be a possibility.

As the BBC report, Lampard is expected to take charge at Stamford Bridge, which would offer a lifeline to all of our younger players.

However, there appears to be an element of doubt as to whether Zouma will be one of them, with Everton pressing hard for his signature.

The BBC’s belief is that Lampard will have the final say on what happens with Zouma. He’ll decide whether Zouma has a shot at making it.

We believe it would be a real shame to see Zouma walk out the door. He was one of the best centre-backs in the country last season.

When you consider that David Luiz is also getting on, there will be an opportunity for a younger centre-back to establish himself.

What do you think, Blues?
