Marcos Alonso would be tempted by a move back to Spain this summer, but Chelsea are not prepared to let him go at this point in time.

Alonso fell out of favour towards the end of the season, with Maurizio Sarri opting to start Emerson Palmieri ahead of him.
However, one manager’s opinion does not define a footballer. If it did, David Luiz would not be a Chelsea player right now.
Chelsea clearly recognise that, with Goal claiming that the club will not allow Alonso to leave until the appointment of a new manager.
At that point a decision can be made on his future, when his reported interest in making the move will likely be taken into account.
This also serves as further confirmation that the club are braced for Maurizio Sarri’s departure this summer.
